Realistically assessing your project is the starting point. How rare is the skillset you’re looking for? If the answer is ‘rare’ then you are going to have to invest more time into identifying and wooing potential candidates.
The method you use to search for them is also critical. Be too limited in your search criteria and you risk missing good candidates. Be too broad and you’ll waste time sifting through long lists of unsuitable people.
